Workshop on poverty, development and globalization

This year, Walker Hanlon, Narayani Lasala Blanco and Jesse Antilla Hughes participated in the Advanced Graduate Workshop on Poverty, Development and Globalization in Manchester, UK as TAs. The program was designed on our IGERT to replicate some of the best features of what we do here at Columbia with an interdisciplinary international group of PhD scholars towards the end of their PhD dissertation work. The IGERT students not only had the opportunity to discuss their work in depth with these students, they also discussed their work and other ideas and research agendas with about 40 of the top scholars in this field who came to the workshop.
