Achievement

Silvia Cermelli-Ferrante from the department of Developmental and Cell Biology reports the education achievements in the academic year that she took an entrepreneurial course for scientists and engineers. According to Silvia, besides exploring the structure and framework of entrepreneurial endeavors, the course showed her how to recognize and select opportunities and especially, how to bring new ideas to the market. To Silvia, understanding the entrepreneurial business process is fundamental, particularly if she becomes involved in those processes in her future career as a scientist. In addition, as part of the course, she attended seminars held by entrepreneurs and industry leaders which gave her a real-world introduction to the business world. The Lifechips program emphasizes and encourages Lifechips fellows to enroll in this entrepreneurial course.
