Complex networked systems

Garrett Jenkinson’s research focuses on thermodynamically consistent modeling, analysis, and identification of complex networked systems. Recently his research has produced a theoretically sound and computationally feasible method of estimating kinetic rate parameters for the prototypical complex network: biochemical reaction networks, such as signaling cascades in the cell. This technique is unique because it is the first to produce thermodynamically feasible parameterizations of these networks, which is a large step towards accurate and predictive computational models of the cell. He has submitted a paper based on his outcomes.
