Teams present research at Annual Meeting

Now that the formal project courses have concluded, the Annual Meeting of the project is the main educational event that all project participants participate in. In 2012 the meeting took place in Idaho from August 13th to the 16th. As part of the meeting, teams made interdisciplinary research presentations and students presented posters on their disciplinary research. The meeting also included keynote presentations by the three members of our Advisory Panel as well as a student-led workshop on Opportunities for Comparative Research. Additionally, participants visited field sites where two of the Idaho-based student teams are conducting research and heard talks from stakeholders on their views and needs with respect to such research. The meeting was an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas, learn from each other and engage in social functions that help project participants maintain group cohesion.
