Achievement

IGERT trainee Barbara Beckingham mentored high school students from Centennial High School, Ellicott City, MD (Nov 2008 - March 2009) for the Howard County Mathematics, Science and Technology Fair. The project title was: "Searching for Polychlorinated Biphenyls on Plastic Marine Debris: A Potential Vehicle for Transmission of Maritime Toxins". The project won two awards at the County-level: 1st place Naval Marine Research award and 3rd place ITT systems award.
