"Energy and the Environment" technical breadth area (TBA) approved

A new technical breadth area (TBA) has been approved in "Energy and the Environment" at the UCLA School of Engineering and Applied Science (SEAS). It will be offered to all engineering undergraduate students starting in Fall 2013. Co-PI Laurent Pilon has been in process of getting the breadth approved for 2 years. The courses offered through the breadth consists of upper division courses in various departments within SEAS and will provide students with a broad background in science and technology related to renewable energy. We hope that it will also stimulate the development of new courses at the undergraduate level in areas such as energy efficiency as well as energy harvesting and storage.
