Research on river restoration approaches

Two IGERT students, one in Urban Studies and the other in Environmental Sciences, developed and refined an interdisciplinary research project though a series of three core IGERT courses. The project, titled "Drivers of the Restoration Process and their Influence on Ecosystem Service Delivery" combines both social and biophysical data analysis and methods. This research will evaluate river restoration approaches and address how they achieve different levels of ecological and social efficacy. This analysis is essential for improving and evolving the river restoration process and its outcomes. This research is integrated into both students' dissertation work and will become a joint publication.
