Renewable & Sustainable Energy Technology Workshop held

The trainees organized a day 2 workshop, Renewable & Sustainable Energy Technology Workshop (ReSET 2012), held on April 12-13, 2012 at the California NanoSystems Institute at UCLA that focused on an effort to reset our economy from conventional to renewable technology. There were several keynote speakers and panel discussions with participants from academia, industry, and government. Topics included technological innovations, electric vehicle adoption and technology, and overcoming policy, economic, and business barriers. There was a poster session in which trainees from other IGERTs participated as well as students from other universities in Southern California. The workshop attracted 150 attendees with backgrounds as backgrounds as the panelists, from several University of California and California State University campus affiliates to energy industry employees and high school teachers. The workshop was also streamed on the internet for those that could not attend in person.
