Biophysical and social scientists form research team

Probably one of the hardest things related to interdisciplinary research is the crafting of interdisciplinary research proposals. To this end we have formed a team of biophysical and social scientists working on interdisciplinary questions revolving around complex social-ecological systems. IGERTs and WIGFs have been invited to attend meetings and retreats where the team has developed successful proposals. Fellows learn first hand the difficulties inherent with crafting proposals at the intersection of the biophysical and social sciences.
