Intensive summer workshop on multilevel modeling

IRSP organized a 2-week summer workshop on multilevel modeling. Taught by Jennifer Krull, this intensive workshop provided instruction in the use of state-of-the art statistical methods with special relevance to research on dyads, families and groups. Each day, participants had 3 hours of lecture, sessions in the computer lab to work on assigned projects, and the opportunity to use these methods to analyze their own data. Participants included 9 IRSP trainees and affiliates, 7 IRSP faculty, and 2 postdocs. Participant evaluations of the workshop were glowing, with numerical ratings of 8.7 on a 9-point scale. In addition to valuable methods training, the workshop provided opportunities for interaction among participants from diverse disciplines and sparked lively research discussions.
