Trainee attends IGERT.org advisory board meeting

In November 2011, Kyle Bocinsky (a previous trainee still in the PhD program at WSU) attended an advisory board meeting for IGERT.org in Cambridge, MA, and provided feedback on the usefulness and purpose of IGERT.org. Positive aspects of the site include the project highlights and the annual poster competition, which is currently online for 2012. He received training on how to host online workshops and how to post material to IGERT.org. One result of this experience is that he is currently working with T. Kohler and Dena Spencer-Curtis to get permission to upload several Fall 2012 IPEM lectures to IGERT.org as a way of generating a broader impact for IPEM. This activity can be seen as outreach for IPEM, service to IGERT.org, and an educational achievement for IPEM in general and Kyle in particular.
