Poster session open to JHU community

The Advanced Communication for Science and Engineering class conducted a poster session that was open to the JHU community. A number of undergraduates, graduate students, and faculty attended. The communication class worked with them on oral presentations, poster presentations, technical paper writing, and grant writing. There is a very specific emphasis in this class on communicating to a technically literate but not specialized audience. Based on work they did in this class, the Trainees in this class will also give a presentation of their research at the annual IGERT Symposium this May. This course was newly developed under the auspices of the MCS IGERT, although a number of non-IGERT students have joined the class (60% of the class were non-IGERT Trainees this year).
