Achievement

We have crafted an interdisciplinary PhD research topic that will make a significant impact on the state of the art. The research will combine traditional mechanical engineering, with high performance computer science, and probabilistic reliability methods from civil engineering. In the future, it is likely that economic implications will be incorporated into the topic. The development of this topic was made possible though collaborations with the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, Sandia National Labs, and the civil Engineering department.
