Sustainable Infrastructure Management course

Theories of Change in Sustainable Infrastructure Management:This course helps students understand frameworks and theories that span the social sciences to explain processes of change among actors and institutions that use, manage, or govern city infrastructure. Students’ reflections have been positive with one saying that the course “Helps to understand the different actors/elements involved, and situate your work within the larger context.” Students also commented that the SEIS framework serves as a map that allows students from different disciplines to realize where their own work fits within the larger context as well as to identify the relationship between their own work and the work of others. As one student said: “I appreciate that other disciplines have their own unique and helpful perspectives, and that it is important to recognize this when working with a diverse group of people.” A paper on this course was presented at APSA.
