Achievement

We are in the first year of the IGERT and are using IGERT support as a recruiting tool to attract the very best students into our program. Subsequently, our first cohort of students has only just been identified and will be starting this August, 2012. We were very successful in meeting our goals of attracting students from groups typically under-represented in the sciences including recruiting 44% of our students from racial minority groups and 66% our recruits are women.
