Sintering of CZTS nanocrystals at high temperatures

In situ sintering studies during sintering of CZTS nanocrystals using selenium vapor at high temperatures of up to 600°C were performed using Synchrotron x-ray source at Helmholtz-Zentrum für Materialien und Energie (HZB). The interpretation of the experimental results have provided unique insight into the role of copper selenide into the sintering process and also the rate of heating. These results will lead to more efficent solar cells from the low-cost-CZTS nanocrystal inks based route.
