Achievement

IGERT trainees from two other IGERT programs that are also focused on materials presented seminars to the Trainees in our program and further discussed their own research in individual and group meetings, providing a valuable broadening experience through peer interaction. This activity was initiated by our Trainees themselves after four of them attended the IGERT retreat and Materials Science workshop in Oregon, where one (Lorraine Leon-Gibbons) gave a talk on her research.
