Nitrogen science and policy

Empirical foundation for a learning-process approach to the interface of nitrogen science and policy: Case studies of scientists learning about policy-relevant nitrogen cycling were investigated in light of the conceptual and epistemological changes underlying their integration of scientific and political modes of thinking. Addressing the conceptual and epistemological features of these integration processes highlights the different ways that science and policy can be combined, and the differences in support resources required for each type of combination.
