Achievement

The Technical Writing Course has been initiated in which most of the IGERT Fellows and Associates are participating. The course is being lead by Dr. Janet Kayfetz. As most cutting edge energy research is highly specialized, it can be difficult to communicate or write about research findings to audiences outside of one's field, or even to others who do research in the same field. The course emphasizes the importance of multiple revisions and specific techniques to elevate the writing skills of all participants. Students have commented that the course is one of the best courses they have participated in and have recommended that the course be offered each year to IGERT Trainees.
