Framework brings together thematic research groups

Social-ecological infrastructural systems framework for interdisciplinary research of sustainable city systems: A major achievement of our IGERT is the development of a framework that integrates infrastructure design/environmental engineering, industrial ecology, public affairs, health and human behavior, into a framework that brings together laws, theories, and models/frameworks from multiple disciplines to describe sustainable urban systems as a whole.

Our feature article was submitted to the Journal Env. Science & Technology. We had several meetings on how the framework brings together research in our different thematic research groups, Transportation, Urban Metabolism, Food Systems, and Vulnerability and Resilience, and the framework was found to work consistently across disciplines for all these themes.
