New chemical sensor device

IGERT faculty member A. Dodabalapur led an interdisciplinary team, including IGERT trainee Shannon Lewis and collaborator Professor Dutta of Purdue University, whose research activities led to the development of a hybrid organic/inorganic ambipolar thin film transistor as chemical sensor. The device consists of pentacene and zinc oxide as semiconductors. They have investigated the current-voltage characteristics in different operational modes and have employed this device as chemical sensor. The research result was published in Applied Physics Letter 98, 213504 (2011).
