Trainee present research, wins award

Trainee Melissa Whited presented her paper "Economic Impact of Irrigation Water Transfers in Uvalde County, Texas" at the Mid-Continent Regional Science Association 41st Annual Conference / IMPLAN National User’s Conference 8th Biennial Conference. St. Louis, MO. This paper received the award for best student paper in the M. Jarvin Emerson Student Paper Competition and was subsequently published (see Research Achievements) in Vol. 40, Issue 2 of the Journal of Regional Analysis and Policy. Her research and her attendance at the conference was supported by IGERT funds.
