Student-run workshop funded

Our second achievement relates to the Complex Systems Advanced Academic Workshop (CSAAW). This student-run group hosts a popular speaker series and provides a forum for students to share ideas and discuss complex systems research. CSAAW has received consistent funding from the University of Michigan for the last six years, in large part, due to the success of our IGERT project. Two IGERT trainees, Dan Katz and Abe Gong, served as coordinators this year. CSAAW has helped nurture collaborative relationships like the one described above and also provides an opportunity for our IGERT trainees to network with other students with an interest in complex systems.
