Achievement

Bio-/Chemi-informatic Workshops: Fostering capability in bioinformatics and chemi-informatics, IGERT Participant Professor Thomas Girke hosted two multi-day workshops throughout the year (http://facility.bioinformatics.ucr.edu/home/workshops). These were attended by IGERT fellows and other researchers. The Jan 29-30, 2010 and Feb 19-20 events were attended by 300 individuals, including 30% from external institutions across the US, with a few attendees from drug and agchem industry (e.g. Roche, AgraQuest).
