Achievement

Outreach activities of trainees has been extensive and has included the development of scientific teaching modules to emphasize the conversion of energy (e.g. solar energy) posted on TeacherTube, outreach to elementary schools, and the collaboration of a Solar Energy Build a Solar Car workshop with the UCSB MRSEC Materials Research Laboratory education staff that allows students to explore solar energy, the conversion of solar energy to do work, and build a solar car model.
