Achievement

Seminar on Ethics in Academic Research has been initiated in which all of the IGERT associates and fellows participate. This is being lead by the IGERT PI. The materials used to lead the discussions and written reports are based on content developed at the Poynter Center for the Study of Ethics and American Institutions at Indiana University. This seminar series has a clear and strong impact on what is considered to be appropriate conduct in scientific research. Students from outside the program are now beginning to attend as well in order to fulfill some of the conditions demanded of them from outside funding agencies.
