Discussions on sustainable energy

The courses started in the first reporting year have been continued. In addition, this past reporting year has been characterized by extensive, organized discussion among all associates and participating fellows on the issue of sustainable energy, based on the book titled "Sustainable Energy without Hot Air" by Professor David MacKay from Cambridge University. This culminated in a visit and a seminar by Professor MacKay himself. Reading Professor MacKay's book and following his exposition has emphasized to all the participants the importance of expressing the large numbers associated with energy and climate change in a personalized (on a per person basis) and comprehensive manner.
