IGERT Fellow, Natalija Glusac, has been collaborating with economists and industrial ecologists to investigate connections between finance, politics, industry, technology and environment. She has analyzed data sets from the World Bank to determine timing and other patterns in investment to new technologies. She is also working with Professor Magali Delmas, co-PI of UCLA's Clean-Green IGERT, to analyze what characteristics seem consistent among green technology firms that successfully gain funding from Venture Capital. The data set for the study was supplied by Randy Churchill of Price Waterhouse Cooper, New Venture Investment. Also, she is co-author of a manuscript with Prof. William Comanor, UCLA and UCSB Economics departments, aimed at linking game theory and empirical evidence regarding firm competition and cooperative behaviors (tacit collusion).
