Achievement

We continue to successfully integrate a partnership program at Wayne State University. In the past year, we had a weekly joint seminar series (via high-definition, large screen, uncompressed video conferencing) and four annual co-located events. We continue to build relationships, for example, a Michigan IGERT faculty member served on the dissertation committee of the first Wayne State IGERT trainee, who successfully defended his thesis and accepted a job in industry in the summer of 2009.
