Achievement

Brian Thomas, one of our IGERT trainees from the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, is designing an interactive visualizer to display (in real time or offline) sensor events that occur in a smart environment. IGERT researchers have used this visualizer to understand patterns of activity that occur in the smart environment testbeds. The visualizer also generates streaming plots of electricity usage and of recognized activities. These plots have provided insights to residents and caregivers in the smart home deployments.
