Achievement

Interdisciplinary curriculum has distinctly improved within this reporting period. Two recently graduated IGERT trainees, Dr. Frank Lombardo and Dr. Anita Schiller, and an IGERT Co-PI Dr. Andrew Swift are involved in the development of an undergraduate multidisciplinary degree with an emphasis in wind energy. The new multidisciplinary degree consists of wind energy curriculum and the student's choice of six other areas of study including natural resources management, energy commerce, construction technology, engineering, international business, and atmospheric science. The objective of the creation of this degree is to increase the workforce in the wind energy industry.
