About Me
I am a PhD candidate in the Civil Engineering and Engineering Mechanics Department at Columbia University. I am an IGERT trainee in the “Solving Urbanization Challenges by Design” NSF funded project. On a broad level, my research interests include addressing the resource challenges facing urban environments in the developed and developing world. My research aims to integrate wireless sensor technology, social networks, and infrastructure management to achieve resource conservation. Currently, I am examining the effect of social networks on energy consumption behavior and how energy saving practices diffuse through these networks. I completed my undergraduate degree in Civil & Environmental Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin.
