International Science & Engineering Visualization Challenge - entry deadline 9/15/10

For the past seven years, NSF and the journal Science have co-sponsored annual challenges to encourage cutting-edge efforts to visualize scientific data. The Challenge invites participants from across the globe to communicate research results and scientific phenomena visually, which can help increase public understanding of science and engineering, as well as improve communication across disciplines. The categories include: Photography, Illustrations, Informational Posters and Graphics, Interactive Games, and Non-Interactive Media.
The deadline for submitting entries to this year’s Challenge is September 15, 2010. Winning entries will be published in a February 2011 issue of the journal Science, and will be featured on Science Online and on NSF’s website. One winning entry will appear on the front cover of Science.
