FaST faculty fellowships at Argonne National Laboratory - summer 2010
Description:
Argonne National Laboratory is pleased to announce that the interagency partnership between NSF and DOE will again provide fellowships for faculty and student teams (FaST teams) to conduct research at Argonne National Laboratory and other DOE laboratories (summer 2010). All applications are online (http://www.scied.science.doe.gov/scied/fast/abo...).
The deadline is February 1, 2010. Please encourage your faculty to take advantage of this opportunity!
About the FaST (Faculty and Student Teams) Program:
The 10-week residential program begins the last week in May. New, junior faculty seeking tenure, and senior faculty seeking to expand collaborative research opportunities are encouraged to apply. Fellowships are provided for a faculty member and at least 2 but not more than 3 students/team. More than one FaST team is eligible from a university. The faculty member pre-selects students. Students will subsequently complete their component of the application once the faculty member provides a link. To obtain the best match, an overview of the research programs at Argonne is available in our online Catalog of Research Projects at http://www.dep.anl.gov/catalog/catalog.htm Identify 2 or 3 research areas from the catalog and include in your application (project title & number).
Funding mechanism:
NSF provides the funds through administrative supplements to the parent grant and DOE provides the research resources.
