NIH Research Conference for students interested iin exploring postdoc opportunities at the NIH

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is actively recruiting candidates to participate in the 8th NIH National Graduate Student Research Conference, to be held October 6-8, 2013 in Bethesda, Maryland. The purpose of this event is to recruit outstanding young scientists to postdoctoral positions in the NIH Intramural Research Program (IRP). NIH postdocs train in groups across all NIH Institutes and Centers (http://irp.nih.gov/ ) and have access to outstanding career and professional development activities through the NIH Office of Intramural Training & Education (OITE; www.training.nih.gov). This year the Conference will be held in conjunction with the NIH Research Festival, which highlights recent significant biomedical advances made at the NIH, and Conference participants will have the opportunity to attend Research Festival Sessions.

To be eligible students must be enrolled in a PhD program in the U.S. and on schedule to complete their PhD degree requirements between March 2013 and October 2014.
