Important Change to NSF/IGERT Reporting Procedures and Webinar Announcement
Description:
As in years past, the IGERT program will be using the online IGERTweb system to collect relevant data and outcomes on projects as part of NSF’s annual reporting requirement. You should have received an email notice from ICF International earlier this week announcing the beginning of the IGERT annual and final reporting process for 2013. The email also included key dates and deadlines for report submission to IGERTweb. However, starting this year, all annual and final reports for NSF projects will be processed through Research.gov – NOT FASTLANE! Thus, the reporting procedure for this year will be slightly different from what we have used in the past.
To ease the process of submitting annual and final reports and to ensure a smooth transition to Research.gov, the NSF IGERT Program Directors will be holding two webinars on March 26th and 28th:
- Webinar I (Tuesday, March 26; 1 p.m. EDT): For PIs and Program Coordinators who are new to the IGERT reporting process: This presentation is designed for project personnel who are unfamiliar with the IGERTweb monitoring and annual report system (e.g., new PIs or PCs). The webinar will include a discussion of the steps and procedures for uploading information to IGERTweb.org and submitting an annual report using Research.gov. Online registration for Webinar I is available at: /webinars/226.html.
- Webinar II (Thursday, March 28; 1 p.m. EDT): For PIs and Program Coordinators Familiar with the IGERT Reporting System: This presentation is designed for experienced/veteran IGERT personnel who have previously used the IGERTweb reporting system. The webinar will focus on changes to the reporting process and the steps necessary to submit an annual report via Research.gov. Online registration for Webinar II is available at: /webinars/227.html.
Both PIs and Program Coordinators are encouraged to participate in the webinars. Please be sure that at least one PI/co-PI and/or Program Coordinator from your program attends one of the webinars.
The week before the webinars, we will release a brief step-by-step guide and flow chart describing the annual reporting process.
If you have any questions about the new reporting procedures, please contact the NSF IGERT Staff Office: 703-292-8696 or email igert@nsf.gov.
