IGERT.org Site Updates

As members may have noticed, there have been some recent changes to the email notification messages that are sent from the IGERT.org site. Based on member feedback, including from members of our Advisory Boards, the site now regularly sends a:
- Site newsletter, This Week on IGERT.org, containing all of the week’s news, Job Board posts, project news and stories, as well as upcoming events and deadlines.
- Group Activity Digest including all new discussion posts and files in the groups you have joined.
- Your IGERT.org Digest with invitations and notifications that have been sent to you. If you have been recognized in work that has been shared on the site, you will receive recognition messages in this as well.
- Personal site messages are messages from other members and these are sent immediately as individual emails to you.
- Webinar invitations and reminders that are also sent as immediate, individual emails to notify you in a timely manner.
To help you manage these communications on the IGERT.org site itself, we have improved and redesigned the Dashboard. On this page, you can use the “Account Controls” in the right navigation to “Update Notification Preferences” and change the frequency of these emails that are being sent to you. This right navigation has other controls and links to your profile, password, network activity, as well as your messages and invitations. We welcome your feedback and questions.
