Student Support for NSF CMMI Engineering Grantees Conference

Description:

Northeastern’s College of Engineering will host the 2012 NSF CMMI Engineering Research and Innovation Conference from July 9-12, 2012. The conference with the theme “Engineering Transformation through Partnerships“ serves as the focus point for the division’s interactions, and brings together 1500 grantees and NSF program directors in a highly-visible forum.

Student conference fellowships are available to cover conference registration fees (including most meals during the conference) and accommodations in student housing on Northeastern University’s campus (for four nights from July 8 to 12, double occupancy). Please note, students are expected to participate in pre-conference activities on Sunday, July 8th.

In order to receive a fellowship, students are required to send us a completed application form, a 1-2 page research description and 1-page resume/CV. Interested students should submit complete application packages via email to cmmi2012@neu.edu no later than 5:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time on Monday, April 2, 2012. Late applications will not be considered.

Applications will be reviewed by an ad hoc committee and selections made based on factors listed in the application form. Students will be notified of their application status during the week of April 29th, 2012. Accepted students will be registered for the conference and provided with a log-in for the conference registration website to sign up for technical tours (available at additional cost) and to submit their poster online. Additional information on conference registration and housing will be provided at that time. Instructions on the online poster preparation, conference agenda, and other important information can be found on the conference website at www.cmmigranteeconference.org/.
