REMINDER: NSF I-Corps Submissions Due Feb. 15
Description:
Dear IGERT Community,
I want to bring your attention to a new funding opportunity at NSF through a new program, I-Corps, announced recently. If you have a student working on a project that has commercialization potential and you are willing to support the student to explore that possibility, please read the solicitation that is available at
http://www.nsf.gov/news/special_reports/i-corps...
The student will be the entrepreneurial lead, you will identify an I-Corps mentor, and you will be the PI for the project. Please submit a one-page project summary to igert@nsf.gov with the subject heading “I-Corps Submission.” Submissions must be received by February 15, 5:00 p.m. EST to be considered for the I-Corps winter window. The one-page summary must include the project title, IGERT award number and title, IGERT PI, institution, team information and roles, and an abstract of the proposed project and commercialization plan. Submitting teams will be notified of their status within two weeks of the deadline. The submission will be screened by the EHR representative on the I-Corps team who will present IGERT-based projects and send authorization to submit a proposal, if selected. This step is mandatory (Please see page 5 of the solicitation).
Out of the first 21 I-Corps awards from the entire NSF, two IGERT projects were selected.
I hope you will take advantage of this opportunity.
Regards,
Ram
