AWRA Annual Water Resources Conference
Description:
AWRA’s 2011 Annual Conference is designed specifically to provide a multidisciplinary approach to water resources issues that range from local to international in scope. It will bring a valuable, rewarding experience to any individual involved in water resources, both from exposure to nearly 300 outstanding oral technical presentations and more than 50 poster presentations, but also for unparalleled networking opportunities with fellow water resources professionals. Because the conference is being held in the American southwest, it will provide attendees from other parts of the United States and elsewhere the opportunity to observe and understand how this country is dealing with limited water resources in areas of rapid and sustained population growth.
An exciting new concept, “Special Sessions” has been added to this conference where water resources professionals representing diverse organizations and interests proposed and organized sessions around topics of importance “right now” to the water resources community. Special session topics include remote sensing, instream flows, climate change, surface-water quality modeling, groundwater vulnerability, resource interdependencies, green infrastructure, water marketing and several more.
