Trainee gains unique experience in IGERT program

Through the experience gained in the IGERT program Robert Wuebker was able to participate in several opportunities that, without this project, would not have been possible. Three opportunities were: First, In the 2008 calendar year, building on the success of other years, he was awarded a ThinkSwiss Research Scholarship for renewable energy research at the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland (with visits to ETH-Zurich and EWEAG). Second, he presented papers in a series of conferences in Europe (including the Energizing Markets Conference in Copenhagen, Denmark) and a planned presentation at Global Energy Basel (the organization invited him to the conference to award him the Young Energy Pioneer Award). Third, he contributed to the work conducted by the X PRIZE Foundation, creating a prize organization and spearheading the development of incentive prizes in the areas of energy and the environment.
