Achievement

iQuISE Associates participated with a subset of the iQuISE faculty in an April 2009 off-site, cohort-building meeting. Among other activities during this off-site was a research ethics seminar that addressed thorny issues associated with research publication, specifically who gets to be an author and who does not. This seminar engendered lively discussion among the faculty and students, and is the first of a series -- addressing a variety of ethical issues in research, with specific focus on matters relevant to quantum information science and engineering -- in which students will participate as part of the iQuISE program.
