Novel opto-electronic and non-linear integrated devices for silicon photonics

Through the cross-disciplinary team and studies, we have developed novel opto-electronic and non-linear integrated devices for silicon photonics. Recent projects include CMOS-compatible ion-implanted photodetectors for high-speed optical to electronic data conversion both in the C-band and at long wavelengths, quasi-phase matching of four-wave-mixing and pulse shaping by waveguide dispersion engineering, and phase controllable modulators based on ring resonators and photonic crystal cavities.
