Achievement

In April 2013, first year IQ Biology student and IGERT Associate Aaron Wacholder, and fellow “Foundations” classmate Zach Dunlap, will fly to Trinity College in Ireland to participate in activities celebrating the 60th anniversary of the double helix. Along with their "Foundations" classmates, Aaron and Zach created physical models of RNA. These models helped Charles Jencks, the designer of the double helix sculpture outside Watson's home in Cold Spring Harbor and of counterparts in Cambridge and Edinburgh, create a sculpture that will be situated in the National Botanic Gardens in Glasnevin, Dublin. The sculpture will be unveiled as part of these activities.
