Achievement

Faculty and students worked together as part of six interdisciplinary teams throughout the reporting period. To enhance the educational experience for students, faculty met with teams regularly to assess research plans and proposals, review progress made in conducting interdisciplinary research and provide input on how to improve team cohesiveness. Additionally, faculty assisted students develop interdisciplinary research proposals to submit to funding agencies. Via this model students receive mentoring from multiple faculty and also engage in peer-mentoring.
