Achievement

Margaret Garcia, a first year Civil and Environmental Engineering student, produced a research proposal with IGERT faculty Shafiqul Islam and Kent Portney entitled "Creating an Anti-Fragile Water System: Identifying Heuristics to Management Urban Water Infrastructure for an Uncertain Future". The Water Diplomacy program provides an environment to present her developing interdisciplinary research ideas and enables her to identify synergistic opportunities to pursue collaborative research with social and natural science domains. She presented a poster on this topic in April 2013 and plans to further develop this topic for her dissertation research.
