Matthew Wall (mentors: C. Drain, Hunter & M. Kircher,MSKCC): systematically examined existing literature on Raman spectroscopy, SERS and SERRS to understand underlying principles that govern the Raman enhancement factor of nanoparticles resulting significant contributions to the design & synthesis of more effective SERRS nanoparticles (patent). Travis Shaffer (mentors: C. Drain, Hunter & J. Grimm,MSKCC): completed a project to characterize the mucin related mRa96 antibody and to test the ability of this probe to obtain antigen-specific multi-modality images of PDAC (submitted to the World Molecular Imaging Conference). Sam Groveman (mentors: L. Francesconi & E. Dadachova, Einstein): discovered N2S2 donor sets stabilize tracer rhenium-188 and is designing appropriate bifunctional chelates to link Re-188 to mAbs. Melissa Deri has made significant progress on the design and synthesis of bifunctional ligands that stabilize zirconium-89.
