Trainees design symposium on Indoor Air Quality

An interdisciplinary group of IGERT trainees, trainee alumni, and affiliates received supplementary funding through NSF’s IGERT program to design and implement a two-day symposium on Indoor Air Quality and Cook Stoves in Developing Countries. The symposium included podium presentations by invited students and faculty from around the work, panel discussions and breakout groups, and was attended by approximately 200 participants of the international conference Indoor Air 2011. Subsequent to the symposium several trainees and trainee alumni developed an editorial on the topic for the prestigious journal Indoor Air and also developed a full lecture on the topic and symposium highlights that they have delivered to classes at the Missouri University of Science and Technology and the University of Texas at Austin.
