Achievement

IGERT Trainee Rishee Jain participated in an advanced planning seminar, led by IGERT Faculty Participant Professor Elliott Sclar, that worked with the Mayor of Accra, Ghana to examine design strategies for upgrading an urban slum in the inner city area. Strategies proposed by the students in the planning seminar to improve community access to emergency services are currently being adopted by the Mayor.
