Achievement

Elizabeth Diesel, an EIGER trainee, mentored an undergraduate student participating in the Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) during the summer of 2009. Elizabeth worked with Maya Nadimpalli, the REU student, to develop a Corbicula fluminea bioassay for arsenic bioavailability. Elizabeth and Maya worked together on a series of experiments, culminating with a set of experiments developed exclusively by Maya. After data collection, Elizabeth worked with Maya to analyze and present the data in both a final paper and presentation.
